Testimonial from a local farmer ……….

I am farming in the Wicklow/Carlow boarder for the past 30 years.

I was introduced to the Tullow ewe 25 years ago. Since then from purchasing both hogget ewes and ewe lambs from the shows & sales in Tullow Mart I have built a flock of ewes to which I am very proud.

These ewes have year on year produced a flock of lambs to which I am best pleased. The flock would scan from 1.8 to 2 lambs per ewe while producing strong lambs and having the ability to produce lots of milk  from day one.

I breed the ewes to commercial rams which gives me lambs with lengthy carcases and early finishing. It is important to remember that these ewes also hold market value exceptionally well when being sold as cast ewes or aged breeding ewes.

For as long as I am in sheep production I will use the Tullow Ewe because she ticks the boxes for me in producing top quality lambs.
